Director of Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Accommodations
Mohammed AbdulAziz is the Director of Health, Security, Safety, Environment and Accommodation (HSSE) at Bee’ah. Mohammed‘s primary responsibilities are to prepare quality, environment, health, safety and security policies at Bee’ah and ensure that these are adhered to within the organisation’s management facilities.
Bee’ah has built upon an outstanding HSSE record under the guidance of Mr AbdulAziz, continuing a proud commitment to providing a safe and enjoyable work place for 3,500 employees by accomplishing numerous extra welfare targets and satisfying additional internationally recognised health and safety standards and assessments. Mohammed’s extensive knowledge of quality, environment and health and safety management comes from working at an executive level in several organisations in the private, public and non-governmental sectors within the UAE.
Through his commitment to continuously improving HSSE performance, in-house training has formed a central aspect of Bee’ah’s development, including HSSE induction programs, Fire Safety and Prevention courses and First Aid Training provided to new and existing employees, as part of a universal approach to work place safety. Mohammed also directed the development of health awareness campaigns such as the Awareness and Prevention Programme against Heat Related Illnesses, the Personal Hygiene campaign and the Proper Hand Washing campaign. All of which educated and informed employees of the latest knowledge, research and practices.
Before starting his career at Bee’ah, Mohammed worked for five years at the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) as the Quality, Environment, Health and Safety Manager, during which time he developed procedures and programmes relating to safety management and provided budget risk assessment and time management estimates.
Mohammed also led and directed the integrated management quality system at Emirates General Petroleum Corporation (Emarat), as the Health Safety & Environment Manager for four years, as well as ensuring that all health and safety aspects were properly met within the Emarat organisation by training 1,300 retail staff and 150 terminal and gas operation staff. He also prepared essential documentation and policies pertaining to the environment and occupational health and safety.
Mohammed holds a Master’s in Quality Management and a Bachelor of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering from the UAE University.
